Wow!! My 3rd blog and 7 months remaining, time is flying and I am stressing! lol, firstly, can I just stress to every bride how important it is to leave yourself enough time to organise things! I am so glad that I left myself a good year and a half to prepare for everything... the stress is intense.

Phew! Anyway, moving on, last time I left you with some of my basic ideas for my wedding, I have since decided that I want to go with a vintage theme for our wedding and seen as I am having a summer wedding I thought that it would also be really nice to incorporate Peonies into my wedding flowers, peonies are usually a spring flower that have a real fluffy, soft feel to them that will help to achieve that romantic vintage glam feel that I want so I will see how I go with them, I might be pushing it a bit seen as my wedding is in Summer but if not I could always use David Austin roses which look very similar.
If you haven’t already noticed, I am currently in the process of researching flowers but not only that I am also searching for a reasonably priced florist that can help me out with what I want. I have had a few interview’s with a few florists and currently have my eye on a company called Designer wedding flowers, they apparently have about 10 years experience in the industry and are located very close to home so I will check them out and let you know how I go.

While looking into the flowers I am also in the process of trying to find my flower girls dresses, it seems everywhere I go they want to charge $200 to $300 a dress, which I think, is to much! I have my two nieces who are both 3 years old so I only need something small and I just think that those prices are ridicules! I mean, my bridesmaid’s dresses were only $100 more and they fit a full-blown adult! Well Anyway, my sister suggested that we try Parklea-markets and see if they have anything that we could use so we drove out there last weekend and we did come across a shop that had exactly what I was looking for, for $20 to $30 so I will defiantly consider purchasing them, I mean the girls are only 3 years old and I only need something plain white and possibly with a bow! but anyway, once again, I will continue on my hunt for cheap flower girl dresses and I will let you all know how I go.

Next up were Tim and his groom’s men. Tim and I managed to find a boutique call Park Avenue bridal in Parramatta that was renting suits for $180.00 (BARGIN!!) we searched around for a while but they were by far the best and cheapest not to mention that the customer service there was so great, Tim and I warmed up to the manager there really quickly and he had a lot of great advise and ideas for us, plus I think it helps when you get along with the person your dealing with. Makes life easier! Anyway, Tim wears suits everyday to work so he wanted a suit that would make him feel more formal for his wedding so with the help of the manager at park avenue bridal Tim decided to go with a black suit with a very subtle black pinstripe through it, a white collard shirt and a white striped vest with a matching tie which looks more formal and very handsome! For the boys we decided against the option of them having their ties the same colour as the bridesmaids (to girly for boys I think) and ended up putting them in a black suit, white shirt, black vest and tie combination and once again it looks formal and they also look very handsome.

As for our wedding rings, we ended up finding them and putting a deposit on them, it wasn’t hard, as we sort of already knew what we wanted so as soon as we saw a sale on at Michael Hill Jewellers we pounced lol

Just a quick honeymoon update, we are currently in the process of dealing with flight centre about the finer details of the honeymoon. As you all know we have chosen to go to New York for Christmas, which falls only 1 week after our wedding date! We have always wanted a white Christmas so we are very excited about it. We thought that seen as we were going to America we might as well fit as much as we wanted to see in so we decided to not only do New York for Christmas but to stop off at L.A on the way there for a couple of days and on the way back stop off and stay in Vegas for a few days which I am really excited about!!! There are still a few things to discuss regarding the honeymoon but no final arrangements have been made, once again, I will keep you all up to date.

Ok, just so you all know, our photographer New Creations photography included some pre-wedding photo’s into our wedding photography package which we have recently had done so here is one of my favourites. Hope you all like 

Till next time
