OK - So my previous post spoke so highly over theweddingparlour.com.au - DO NOT USE THEM! I placed an order with them on the 8th of October. An order of things over $500 so they had to advise the postage and handling.
I waited to hear from them and nothing.
On the 17th I get an email saying I hadn't replied to their email- which I never got but the email was up on their site once I logged in. How was I to know they put the messages up on their site and not to my inbox. Their site advises that all communication is done via email. So I waited by my inbox and nothing. There is no phone numbers to call on their site just emails. I was advised to pay $35 postage which is steep but I wanted the items to hurry up and all they gave me was an email and told me to pay $35 via paypal.
I dont know paypal all that well but assume you needed a link or a
proper tax invoice? But i figured out how to pay this and did it
straight away. So they waited 10 days to contact me via email even
thought I left a phone number and a courtesy call could have been
given. Anyway that was done on Monday and today being Saturday the 25th
I have heard nothing from them.
I have sent copious emails to request a status update, a phone call-
anything to let me know what is going on. If they said there was a
delay or something I wouldn't be pressing the issue but I am hearing
nothing. So I am starting to stress a little as its my place card
holders, toasting flutes, guest book and pen. So without those I am
going to be pretty peeved!
The old saying- you get what you pay for! Cheap isn't always good!
On a brighter note! My matron of honor came up from Nowra and we
had a great girls day! We started off by going to have a look at the
boat and how the colour scheme (Hot pink on light pink) that we've
chosen is going to look.
It really looks pretty! I love it! Whilst we were there they were
setting up for another wedding and they had place cards with fabric
flowers. (see
http://www.trulymadlydeeply.com.au/store/catalog/Orchids.html) Heath
loved them and said he wanted something similar but the same flowers
that matched my bouquet- phalaneopsis orchids! I am supposed to be
taking things off my
white board of things to do- not adding to them!! So I searched and
searched the net for fabric orchids and thought I just can't find any
and thought hmmm I'll check Truly Madly Deeply's website- which funnily
enough is where I got all the stuff for my invites! I found a perfect
flower and its $9.95 for a pack of 24 and has a special of buy 1 pack
and get 1 free. So I got 2
packs and got 2 free for under $20! Bargain! We also got some of the
vine twig to put a couple of strands on it. I have a modern stick theme
going on- you will see in the photos!! The flowers arrived yesterday
but were alittle scrunched up so I got my GHD hair straightener out and
straightened the petals. Quite funny but works very well as its a
skinny straightener and a normal iron would be too big!
We picked up 1 of the boys suits which was to have alterations-
taking in the waist and up the trouser leg. He brought it home
yesterday and it still had the pins in it!! So obviously nothing was
done! I rang them this morning and told them what happened. They were
very embarrassed so after we have taken them to the shops to try and
match some shoes and a belt we will take
them back to be finished!
Oooh my hens night is next weekend! I am so very excited!!!!!! I got
the perfect shoes to match my dress. I will post some photos after the
night!
Heath had his bux day. All the boys played skirmish. He had a great day and came home with 38 bruises!
Well I am off to start my day. Got to get my bridesmaids their hand
bags too! I think I can safely say we will visit more than 1 shopping
centre today!
