Wow 39 days to go!! It's definitely getting close!

Last night I did a white board with '40 days to go' and split the board into 'Things left to do' on the left and the right with Things let to pay / buy.

My list of things to do is somewhat large! Here I am thinking I was very organised!! It was fun & scary this morning walking into my office and rubbing out the 40 and putting 39!!

Ok so we have found the suits for the guys! YAY!!! This had to be the biggest mission of the whole wedding I think. We tried every suit store in Sydney! From David Jones, Myers, Calibre, Oxford through to Roger David and other "older people" shops! Heath got his suit from a mens suit shop in Miranda Fair. I can't remember the name but it's absolutely amazing.

It's a hard colour to describe. Similar to coffee when you put lots of milk in it with a pink stripe through it! Haha! Not a cheap suit- coming in at $900! But it looks amazing so that's all that matters. Trying to find groomsmen suits that match was like trying to pick the lotto numbers! It was seeming to be impossible! We tried one place and fell in love with the suits. They were $299 and a chocolate brown colour which is reasonable and exactly what we wanted. We thought YAY! We have found them...Heath & I went back in with Heaths suit to match it up. We walk into the store but can't find the suit - we ask the girl and she points to a suit and says that's the one. I look at the suit and tell her no thats a grey suit, she tries to tell me it's brown...If i had to bet my life savings/house/car/marriage on the colour of the suit I would say its grey! There was nothing brown about the suit.

I could have sworn the suit we first said we liked was brown. She then proceeds to tell me maybe it different light it looks different. I saw it in the same shop under the shop lights so unless they have covered up some sky lights since my last visit than I was looking at the suit under the same lights!  Very frustrating so we were on our way and back on the hunt.

Heath's mum has been telling us to go to Kelly Country a suit place with Tailors who are located in Granville. We couldn't imagine ever getting suits from Granville (Heath grew up there- we know what the area is like!) and kept putting that idea off. But we got desperate and thought ok to shut her up we will go!!! We went and saw a pin stripe suit that will match Heaths suit perfectly. It's the colours of a Mars Bar! Chocolate Brown, Caramel and a Nougat colour! (mmm chocolate!!) So we matched it with Heaths suit and they look great together! The boys are going to try the suits on and the owner Vince is going to Alter them to fit the guys for free because we are getting 4 suits. Not a bad deal!

Ok- bridesmaid dresses have been picked up and are hanging in my wardrobe. Very exciting to have them here! :)

We met the priest for a pre-wedding appointment. He is such a lovely man.. I could imagine him playing Santa!!  His name is Father Lex and he works out of St Brigid's in Marrickville but will perform our ceremony in my church which is great! In the meeting he gave us a DVD of Dr Phil's shows that relates to marriage/children/love. He watched Dr Phil for 4 years trying to compile relevant things to put on the CD. Such a lovely touch! Fr Lex is approx 60 and very tech-savvy. He has a mobile phone with hands free that he places in his ear and when his phone rings he touches a button on his ear and starts talking and he also has a palm pilot which has his schedule in it. It was very amusing to watch! I couldnt imagine my 60 yr old mother doing any of that.

Had my dress fitting....Since doing my dress fitting after my surgery, I can't remember when I  went in but it was around July/August. I have lost 5cms around my stomach YAY! I am doing a treatment called Hypoxi. It's to help with problems areas such as hips, bums and thighs! The 3 problem areas for majority of women. I was looking for a treatment and googled it and found Hypoxi on a Vogue forum and the editor said she had tried it and it was the best thing she's ever done! So I thought why not...It's an exercise bike but your laying down with your legs elevated. It applies negative and positive pressure with a vacuum that helps with your circulations and getting heat to the area. So by improving circulation it also helps with the reduction of cellulite. I've had 10 treatments (45 min sessions) and I have noticed a massive difference and lost 25cms all over (stomach, legs, bum) It's reasonably priced $650 for 12 sessions.

There is also another one which concentrates more on the stomach area, your on a treadmill in a wetsuit with hoses attached to you and it just sucks as you walk. But I can't use this one as I have implants, so I dont know the feeling but I've spoken to other women who have used it and 1 lady who said she is a runner, she normally runs for 1-1/2 hours a day goes on this for 45 mins and its more of a
workout than she's ever had and has noticed massive results! Once Heath and I get back from our honeymoon early next year we are thinking of starting out own business doing it! So ladies (& those hubbies wishing to loose those lumps and bumps!) this could path the way to the new and improved YOU! My dress maker has arranged for earrings to be made to match my dress with the crystals. She is amazing! She has made them to my specifications and has said if I dont like them I dont have to buy them and she can sell them in the shop. Not many places say that!

My hens night has been planned! We are going to Aesops's Greek Restaurant in the city to smash some plates and sing- OUPA! hahahah A different tradition for me as I am not Greek but hey what a way to let out the stress before the wedding by breaking plates! I recommend it! :) I have been before and it's such a fun night with fantastic food!

Honeymoon has been booked & paid for! YAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! 18th - 2nd Dec we are going to the Maldives. Staying at The W Resort- google it! It's absolutely amazing. I can't wait. YAY!!!! We are also going to Bali from the 28th Dec until the 21st Jan. So away for 2 weeks- back for 3 than off we go again. Beach beach beach + tan = very happy!  hahaha

Got my hair extensions in and went back to a lighter blonde. Not peroxide just a natural looking blonde. I love it!

The reply cards are slowly coming in! No one has declined as yet which is great :)

I have found the most amazing toasting glasses. They are 'Diamond Ring Champagne Flutes' oh so very cute! Girls it pays to search around in regards to cheaper prices.

australianweddingcompany.com.au had them for $83.85 & theweddingparlour.com.au had them for $55.95 which is a MASSIVE difference. I also had to get a guest book and a pen set. Total of those through australian wedding company is $223.55 and wedding parlour is $146.75. Almost $80 difference for the same items! Wedding Parlour has turned out to be a cheaper site to buy things so I recommend using them. I purchased table place holders. I was doing a single list for a table and letting people decide where they are going to sit.

But after some careful consideration I thought- there are people going to this wedding that dont know each other and people that have similar personalities that might get along so I have decided to do individual place settings. I found these cute classic round place card holders which are pretty much a silver little ball that holds the card on wedding parlour for a pack of 12 which is $38.60. I will need about 9 packs so thats $347.40. Better compared to Australian Wedding Company which are $58.25 per pack of 12 being $524.25. Almost $200 saving!

Well will write again next week!
