A wedding day is considered by many as one of the most important
days in a woman's life, says Nicolle Adrichem, one of Sydney's leading
hair and make up artists. Nicolle's advice will have you looking great
in person as well as in your photographs on your special day.
A good make-up artist will create a flawless complexion using quality,
professional, long lasting products, whilst enhancing your best
features. Your eyes should be accentuated and always be the main focal
point. It is not a time to experiment with a complete make-over, but
to create the most radiant version of you, complementing your dress
and personality.
Whilst spray tans have proven very popular in
the last two years, we still see many that do not live up to clients'
expectations, being either patchy or too orange. If you are considering
having a spray tan, it is highly recommended that you have a trial
first, and do not go too dark.
If you are lacking in the eyelash
department, you now have a couple of options. You can choose between
individual false eyelashes, which are applied on your wedding day, or
eyelash extensions which usually last between four and six weeks. Both
look great when applied by an experienced professional.
You may
need to book your make-up artist nine to 12 months ahead if your
wedding is in peak season, as in-demand make-up artists are booked out
very early.
For beautiful bridal hair styles that actually
last, you also need the expertise of a hair stylist that specialises in
bridal design and upstyles. By contracting a mobile hair stylist, you
will have a stylist on hand to pin your veil and flowers (or hair
accessories) in and give your hair a final spray once you are dressed.
In
2008 we will continue to see strong influences from the 1930's and
1940's, modernised into soft flowing curls gently pinned up at the back
of the head or off to the side of the nape. GHD curls will also remain
popular, changing to a slightly softer bouncier curl.
Large silk
flowers with Swarovski crystals and fascinators will continue to grow
in popularity. Whilst some brides are still opting for the traditional
tiaras, they are much smaller now, as to not dominate the bride's face.
Your hair stylist should be able to show you a large variety of
hair styles that they have created, client testimonials and ongoing
training that they undertake to keep up to date with the latest styles.
