The most fantastic thing about a wedding is that there are smiles on everyone’s faces. The bride and groom can’t stop smiling at each other, and parents, grandparents, brothers, sisters, relatives and friends spontaneously smile with delight to be part of the occasion. I guess this is one of the main reasons why Celebrants love having a special role at every wedding. 

My name is Terry Timbs, I have been a celebrant for many years, and I enjoy every wedding I conduct.  I consider it a great privilege to take a prospective bride and groom through the various stages of preparing for their wedding: getting to know what kind of wedding they want, signing all the preliminary legal documents, talking through the different aspects of the ceremony, and hearing them laugh (and sometimes cry!) when we have a brief rehearsal.

One of the best feelings a celebrant can have, is hearing the couple express how relieved they are that the process is now really underway and how they feel much more confident about their wedding day. Knowing that all the groundwork has been professionally done, the couple can relax, smile and  enjoy one of the most memorable days of their lives.
