The Everglades Gardens in the Blue Mountains provide a beautiful
backdrop for a garden ceremony. The magnificent landscaped gardens are
a dramatic contrast to views overlooking the Jamieson Valley and Mount
Solitary. A series of themed semi-formal terraces divided by exquisite
stonework walls steps down the hillside leading you to the studio
terrace. One of many ideal ceremony locations is the garden theatre, a formal affair of sandstone walls, arched and colonnaded central pool and bas-relief carving, and sculpted cypress hedge "stage wings" allowing for theatrical entrances.Or consider the Grotto pool, waterfall fed and fern ensconced, lies below a gentle watercourse spanned by a simple and elegant wooden bridge. Photographic opportunities in this magnificent garden are endless. Everglades Gardens is the most famous work of Australia's foremost landscape gardener Paul Sorenson and has been National Trust listed since 1962. Undercover areas are available as a wet weather contingency. Contact Everglades Gardens on Mondays through to Wednesdays and Fridays.
